In a fit of cleaning things up this morning, I came across a short article tucked away in one of my binders. This is what it said…
So often we are scared. Scared of what we might not be able to do. Scared of what people might think if we tried. We let our fears stand in the way of our hopes. We say “no” when we want to say “yes”. We sit quietly when we want to jump in. And we shout with others when we should keep quiet. Why? After all, we only go around once. There’s really no time to be afraid. So stop. Try something you’ve never tried. Risk it. You have nothing to lose. And everything, everything, everything to gain.

Short, yet profound. It really caused me to pause and think.
What are we afraid to try in our business?
Most major new products or service ideas begin with your customer or your patient. Listen to them. What are they asking for?
When you receive the same question from your patients more than once, you have an opportunity to innovate a new product or service as their healthcare provider.
When this happens, look for low-cost, easy ways to take action on your idea. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Don’t lose out on the opportunity to make a difference.
An idea with no action = imagination.
An idea with action = innovation.
How are you being innovative with your customers?
